The UNL Fall Alternative Service Break is coming up, October 17-20.  We will be serving at the People's City Mission, Friendship Home, and Community CROPS. We will be tweeting throughout the weekend.  You can follow us throughout the trip by clicking on the link on the right side of this page.

So, what is service learning?

Service learning is a form of experiential education in which students engage in activities that address human and community needs together with structures opportunities intentionally designed to promote student learning and development.  Reflection and reciprocity are key concepts of service learning.

UNL Service Learning uses the S.E.R.V.E. model for planning, implementing, reflection, evaluation, and celebration.  The S.E.R.V.E. will be discussed in more detail in the the future.
